Breast lump removal

Prior to removal of a breast lump, we would need to be confident as to the nature of the lump (benign, not sure or malignant). The placement of the scar would be discussed and the recovery is often very quick. Some women will have a benign breast lump called a fibroadenoma which they will want removed. These lumps can be of varying sizes – ‘giant’ fibroadenomas require some consideration of scar placement so that deformity of the breast is minimised following surgery.
