What proportion of patients in the one-stop clinic have cancer

My name is Naren Basu, I am one of the Oncoplastic and Reconstructive Breast Surgeons working here at the Priory Hospital in Birmingham.A very small proportion of those individuals who come to our breast clinic will end up having a diagnosis of breast cancer.
So almost 95% of individuals who we see are seen, assessed, reassured and discharged. And I think that's a really important message for anyone coming to the breast clinic is that the vast majority will have appropriate assessment, investigations and then hopefully discharged.
